The report, which was published through TechCrunch stated, "The company (Spotify) confirmed the test to TechCrunch however, it didn't provide additional details regarding the technology or the way it works and did not set a timeframe for the launch."

In the platform for social media, the user named @robdad wrote:

The post appears to display the user a text box that allows them to enter information, also called"prompts. "prompt," to enable the AI to generate playlists and listening suggestions.

While it's not yet officially announced, the test could indicate an upcoming release for this streaming platform of the giant.

Spotify has been busy in the past year, with the analysis of user listening being the main concentration. The year-long "Spotify Wrapped" was released recently for users to review the most popular tracks and songs from the platform's millions of tracks.

Spotify invests money in AI

In the spring of this year, Spotify launched its Personal DJ feature earlier this year. It allowed users to use an online DJ, which was hailed by the company as a "Dynamic AI Voice Platform."

It's not clear if Spotify plans to integrate the Personal DJ feature and the tried-and-tested feature that was discovered on TikTok however, AI is an enormous reason for interest to the company. According to their February announcement, "Personalization is at the center of everything we do on Spotify."

Jobs cuts announced for 2023 for Spotify

Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify revealed this month that the streaming service was in the process of making redundant.

The Co-Founder and the top role person said that this round of job reductions "is not an attempt to regress; it's a strategic shift."

It is unclear whether this investment in automation is linked to a reduction in staff, but AI is an important part of Spotify's plans for the future.
